MyEsteeme is a Swedish startup that works with toys and educational tools for children designed with equal treatment and boosting self-confidence in mind. They wanted to go digital and extend their offering with mobile apps using Augmented Reality (AR).
How can AR and AI technologies be used to support MyEsteeme’s vision of helping child development towards boosting equal treatment and self-confidence?
IZ developed two mobile apps that uses AI based Computer Vision and Augmented Reality:
MyEsteeme – Search & Learn: An app for young pre-school children that uses custom trained machine learning (ML) models to recognize MyEsteeme’s own dolls and play cards to create a pedagogic game for equal treatment education according to the Swedish national curriculum for pre-schools.
MyEsteeme – Sea Adventure: An ambitious Mixed reality experience targeting older children and adults by using ML and AR to transform the world around the player to an alternative world to explore and immerse in an adventure. The game actively entices and rewards the players to be physically active and tracks this activity using the camera and motion sensors on the device. The aim with the app is to counteract the trend of growing physical inactivity in our society through new ways of enticing and rewarding in combination with digital gameplay.
This allowed MyEsteeme to grow into the digital space through a fun and interactive concept and evolve to the next level. ”The team has worked in an agile way where we get updates every two weeks. This has allowed us to explore, test and change ideas as we go along. Without this way of working it probably would never have been possible for us to reach our vision” says Leslie Alfredsson, Founder of MyEsteeme https://www.cybercom.com/About-Cybercom/Press-Media/myesteeme/
