The biggest Microsoft week of the year is soon here - our Azure lead Antti wrote about what to expect, listing couple of tips on how to plan your schedule, and other sights to be seen in the sunny Orlando.
Recap from Microsoft Ignite 2019 event.
In this post, we talk about design process of a serverless data lake using cloud-native technologies.
Next November we are heading to Orlando to join Ignite 2019. I think it will be very exciting week to hear latest news from Microsoft and meet colleagues and customers.
Have you ever dreamed of a data platform that allows you to:
Maintain versions of data sets used to train Machine Learning (ML) models;
Provide full audit log to any changes made to the data;
Have ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) transactions in your data lake;
Enables schemas to help with data quality;
Handles metadata with ease?
Before we resume normal programming, I want everybody to check out IglooConf (http://iglooconf.fi/) in Helsinki. IglooConf is the largest purely Azure event in the Nordics and it is happening next week on 18-19 January. Different groups have for long advocated on the benefits of open source and it seems that finally Microsoft has agreed. The saying "if you can't beat them, join them" might be a bit harsh but also quite apt. Microsoft has finally come to see that there is a lot of business sense in joining many others in developing open source software in addition to their old software.
