Qlik – test and quality assurance


Challenge

Qlik is a leader in Business Discovery, i.e. user-driven Business Intelligence (BI). The company develops the QlikView decision support platform, which provides analysis and search functionality of the highest quality while remaining as easy to use as standard Office applications.

QlikView has become a global market leader, and Qlik has increased its market share very rapidly in recent years, moving from primarily small and mid-sized customers to large corporate customers. Qlik currently has over 30,000 customers in more than 100 countries worldwide.

This imposes additional requirements and expectations in terms of quality, which in turn leads to increased demand for testing.

The challenge was to cope with peaks of intense testing, without building up an oversized test organisation that is unused during less intensive test periods.


Solution

Cybercom's Test Center was able to deliver a flexible and competent team of experienced testers who could quickly step in and relieve Qlik's organisation during intensive test periods.

Cybercom's testing team has also developed processes for testing and quality assurance.

After a long and successful partnership, Cybercom and Qlik have created a strong relationship and mutual trust. Cybercom's test team is highly involved in the development and strives to constantly work with the customer in mind.


Outcome

Through its partnership with Cybercom, Qlik has managed to reduce its labour costs for testing while delivering a better quality-assured product to its customers.

Qlik can flexibly and rapidly gain access to experienced test consultants at short notice during periods of high intensity or if any unplanned needs emerge.
