Women In Tech (WIT) comes to Stockholm for the sixth consecutive year on International Women’s Day March 8, 2019. This year a record number of companies backs up the event that as previous three years will take place at Folkets Hus, Norra Bantorget, in Stockholm.
This year WIT will be realized through donations from no less than nine main Founding Partners and 15 Supporting Sponsors – the highest number of companies ever to engage in the largest conference in the Nordic region focusing on getting more women to stay in or chose a career within tech.
"We are proud to be involved and contribute to Women in Tech for the third year in a row. It is an important and inspiring event that shows the fantastic opportunities that technology offers, not least that we as a company aim for Agenda 2030.", says Kristina Cato, Head of Sustainability and Communication, Cybercom Group.
Behind this year’s WIT stands Founding Partners Accenture, Bonnier, Cybercom Group,EY, HTC Vive, Kindred Group, Nordic Entertainment Group, Tieto and Scania together with Supporting Sponsors Betsson Group, Electrolux, Hemnet, Microsoft, Nasdaq, Play n Go, Schibsted, SEB, Swedbank, Telenor Sverige, Tobii, Veoneer, Visma, Volvo Cars and M, the mobility service.
The program for this year’s event is to be released within the coming weeks and the tickets will be released on January 31. As in previous years, the tickets to WITsthlm are totally free of charge for the participants, thanks to support from the sponsors. The interest in previous WIT events has been enormous with seats being fully booked in just a couple of minutes after release. Or as one of our participants put it in a tweet, “People who say that women aren't competitive should try to get tickets to #witsthlm right now...!”.
