Heading to Microsoft Ignite 2019

This is my first Blog as a Maker since I joined in May.  I’m waiting for one of the most interesting week of the year in the Microsoft world. Next November we are heading to Orlando to join Ignite 2019.  I think it will be very exciting week to hear latest news from Microsoft and meet colleagues and customers.

The event is held in sunny Orlando, Florida so one should definitely try to spend a few days visiting the attractions available. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will host the conference ending party, but there is plenty of rides worth another visit. Another legend in Orlando is obviously Walt Disney World Park where you can experience everything from Cinderella's castle to world of future in Epcot.

IGNITE 2019

Use MyIgnite to schedule your visit

The event itself is again sold out and there always some sessions wich are very popular, so to make the most of your convention, be sure to check out MyIgnite to plan all the sessions you plan to attend.

We are continuously helping our clients with cloud migrations and how to successfully move their data from on-premises to cloud. Also utilizing data to boost business, is a very interesting topic of the day. Ignite provides a lot of sessions around these topics, so as an example, I picked two sessions that could be worth of participating:

In this session Moving your database to Azure you’ll hear “walk through performing the migration and ensuring minimal downtime whit you switch over to the could-hosted providers.”

Democratizing the data lake with the next generation of Azure analytics: “Limited access to exploring data in data lakes has historically limited the value businesses can gain from their data.” I’m sure this is something that many companies are struggling with –  you have the data somewhere, but don’t know how to reach it and utilize it to make data related business decisions. In this session you’ll get valuable input to learn how to simplify your analytics pipeline.

So just remember to check MyIgnite and plan all the sessions you want to attend. Once you get started I'm quite sure your schedule will start to look the same as my with multiple interesting sessions happening simultaneously.

If you are attending Ignite this year and would like to meet up with our team to grab a drink and chat about all things Azure at the conference, send a message to me or Antti Arnell. We also arrange traditional Cybercom Corner in Orlando, so I hope that we meet you there and have fun together.
