Example of mobile applications:

Mobile music recognition - driving download of purchased content.

When you hear an interesting song you can record it with the microphone or pick it up from the built-in FM radio. The audio sample is sent to a 3rd party music service that compares a "musical fingerprint" against a database which covers the global music market. The fingerprint is matched and the listener is presented the name of the song, the album and the artist. If you like the song it can be purchased and downloaded directly. The application is a huge success with great global usage.
Cybercom has developed the mobile Java client, the mobile browser application and the middleware. We have developed this application for a major mobile device manufacturer. The application is pre loaded on the mobile phone.

Dynamic menu system – helping operators to control their service offerings over a whole product life cycle.

Less than 10% of application download attempts results in the user starting an application more than once.

By providing a top menu with an icon, you can download, install and start the application directly. Once you click on an icon the application is simply downloaded and started. The second time started, is it already downloaded, resulting in an enhanced start-up experience. All this results in a better user experience, the mobile phone is easier to use, which in turn results in increased loyalty.

New services and applications can be launched after the user has purchased the mobile phone without having to make a firmware update. This dramatically shortens the time-to-market for new services and applications.

Cybercom has developed the complete solution including mobile application, back-end servers, admin interface and 24-by-7 high availability service, for a large European mobile operator.
