Device engineering – End-to-end product design and development

A fab-less ODM with global reach

Cybercom take on the end-to-end design, development and industrialization of an “embedded device” as a complete outsourced assignment.

Our role is to be an alternative to the ODM, for customers that have their own manufacturing capabilities, want to separate development (cost) from production (cost), or simply believe that Cybercom’s expertise and experience is the guarantee to get that product out on the market in time.

The responsibility we take on includes program management, requirements, partner selection, systems engineering, device development include RF and layout, platform design and adaptation services, application development and integration, test and verification (device testing and type approval, interoperability testing, field testing), production test systems.

Our turn-key delivery is based on:

  • Extensive product development experience, which, throughout the years, has led to a certified, well-proven project model and development process. We chose SPICE for process assessment. We are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • In-house expertise and engineering skills including electronics design, middleware integration and porting, application software development, interaction design and UI (user interface) design. See also Embedded Solutions Consultancy, and Mobile Applications Development.
  • Our own (or our partners’) technology platforms and reference designs, such as hardware reference designs, communications software, application frameworks, application suites, etc. See also Technology platforms and Reference designs
  • An established network of partners providing the services that we have chosen not to grow in-house:
    - Chipset manufacturers
    - PCB manufacturers
    - Test houses including type approvals and certification
    - Industrial designers and Mechanical designers
    - Independent software vendors, including application/service
      providers and platform/middleware vendors
