Cybercom proudly presents User Interface designer Yu Tao, working in Cybercom’s office in Chengdu. Yu Tao won the 1st prize in a nationwide competition, “Best Souvenir Product design (Panda Theme)”, in China.
Sichuan Tourist Industry advertised a competition to increase the industry in general but also specifically for Panda related productions. Yu Tao’s design will be used in Sichuan Panda Souvenir Image and will be published nationwide. Yu had very fierce competition, the association received about 3000 designs from 180 universities, 30 different design institutions, and thousands of individual designs from 30 provinces.
“Yu Tao’s 1st prize Design” was called “Tang Niu Guo Zi” (Candy Panda Lovers-Local Snack). The two panda lovers love to eat candy and holding candy in their hand. The design combined traditional Chinese Ink Painting together with Cartoon design. The male Panda “Guo Zi” learns Chinese Kong Fu and likes to eat sugar-coated haws; the female Panda likes to eat Candy.

Yu Tao joined Cybercom Group Chengdu Branch in 2008, he is a 26 years old UI designer, he likes music and he also write songs and plays guitar in his free time. He is working in several important projects for China Mobile (Sichuan) Wireless Music R&D center.
"This activity is a meaningful experience for me. I have exhibited my design skills and talents in the arts and culture. This acknowledgement, from the whole community, of my achievement will spur me to make more interesting and valuable design," says Yu Tao.

The competition was held in 2009 nationwide in China. The theme of the competition was “Black-and-white Sight, colorful Dream”. The 5th Sichuan Tourist Souvenir Panda theme innovation Design Competition was held by Sichuan Province Tourist Association, Chengdu Tourist Association and Chengdu Culture & Tourism Group.
