Rich Internet Applications [RIA] are web applications that have similar features to desktop applications. Usually a RIA application needs a web browser plug-ins to work properly. Since Adobe Flash is probably the most widely spread RIA plug-in Cybercom uses mostly Adobe’s Flash/Flex/AIR RIA technologies, but also Java/JavaFX, and Microsoft Silverlight are supported when needed.
Although Web 2.0 refers to the second generation of web it is not an update to any technical specifications. It is rather a new way to utilize existing web design and technologies to provide richer user experience by facilitating information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design and collaboration on the Web.
Almost all new websites Cybercom develops include some Web 2.0 features such as blogs, mashups, social-networking and communities, wikis.
