Husqvarna Group is a world-leading producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, robotic lawn mowers and garden tractors. Starting in 2013, Husqvarna has paid great attention to the emerging area of Internet-of-Things and connected solutions. When entering the area with own products and solutions, Husqvarna identified the need for an experienced partner in product and service strategy development.
To ensure a successful strategic roadmap Husqvarna selected Cybercom as its partner. Starting with cross-segment workshops in early 2014, Cybercom's consultants from the Advisory Services department have been supporting Husqvarna Group and its divisions in strategic roadmap development for connected solutions and service offerings. Cybercom played an important role in the early initiation of Husqvarna's Connectivity Hub, which is responsible for coordinating Husqvarna's strategic work. Cybercom also supported in setting up the Digital Services and Solutions department, which is responsible for creating and maintaining the IT systems.
Husqvarna has organized the strategic efforts in an efficient manner through the Connectivity Hub, the Digital Services and Solutions department and distributed development efforts within the divisions. In all these areas, aided by Cybercom as a strategic partner, Husqvarna has released innovative and efficient solutions for end-users and gained great market interest for its strategic directions. Husqvarna once again shows its ability to prosper from adapting to technological and market changes.
